Long Overdue Updates

March 2023

Hi everybody!

I know it’s been such a long time since I last sent out a newsletter. Last year, 2022, was a year full of upheaval and major change in my life. I had many things to handle, things happened to loved ones, I made a huge move from one state to another, and so much more. I had to put my writing and supporting this blog on the back burner for a while. But I’m back!

I am delighted to let you all know that Haven is now on Audible.com! I’ve dreamed of this for so many years, and here it is. The process of getting my book on audible was a blast, one of the best aspects of bringing Haven to the world. Picking out the type of voice I wanted, choosing the narrator, I reveled in every aspect of it. Whitney Dykhouse is the talented voice actor who brought Haven to life in the best way. I listened to many auditions, and she was the best at giving voice to all three main characters, Elizabeth, Michael and Ethan. She got the emotion just right in every scene. I enjoyed working with her and look forward to doing so in the future. I hope you’ll all check it out. You can find the audible version here:

I have been interviewed twice about Haven, with another to come in June. My friend and fellow author D. A. Charles interviewed me in the fall of 2021. If you haven’t read her book Shattered, I encourage you to run to get it and read. She’ll be publishing the next book in the series in the not too distant future, and believe me, this is a series you don’t want to miss!

The second interview was last month, part of a writers’ group called Behind Our Eyes, a group for authors with disabilities. They had some fantastic questions for me, and as always, I was thrilled for the chance to talk about Haven and what comes next. Both interviews should be up on my site sometime soon, hopefully.

So, what does come next? I’ve begun working on the next book in the Haven Valley series again. At last! This book will focus on different characters, and though it does take place in Haven Valley, one of the major settings is a unique little coffee shop. Michael and Elizabeth and the kids will make cameos, of course. I had been making good progress on the story, but life got in the way. Fortunately, the characters are chattering at me again, and the muse is in the house! I can’t wait to share this book with you!

That’s about it for this time. I promise it won’t be so long until the next update. I hope you’ll follow my facebook page and join my Facebook group, Haven Happenings. All the info you need is on the contact page. Take care and see you all again soon!
